Juvéderm is a premium range of hyaluronic acid-based dermal fillers manufactured by Allergan Aesthetics, one of the world’s most reputable names in medical aesthetics. Hyaluronic acid occurs naturally in your skin. It’s the substance that keeps your skin looking young, plump, and hydrated.
What sets Juvéderm apart is its patented smooth gel technology, which allows the filler to integrate beneath the skin for seamlessly natural-looking results. Juvéderm is a versatile and clinically proven treatment for restoring lost volume, improving facial contours, and softening fine lines and wrinkles.
We use the Juvéderm range for its outstanding quality, longevity, and consistently beautiful results for our Southampton clients.
The Juvéderm range includes formulations designed for specific areas of the face, allowing our practitioner to choose the best product for your goals. Every treatment at our clinic starts with a personalised assessment to ensure facial balance and harmony.
Subtle fullness, improved symmetry, and beautifully defined borders for your lips.
Juvéderm filler for cheeks lifts and restores midface volume that naturally decreases with age.
Your journey starts with a free consultation where we discuss your goals, assess your facial structure, and develop a personalised treatment plan. This is your opportunity to ask any questions in a calm, no-obligation environment.
Juvéderm treatments typically take between 20 and 45 minutes, depending on the areas being treated. The Juvéderm range contains built-in lidocaine to help keep you comfortable throughout. A topical numbing cream can also be applied beforehand.
Most clients describe the sensation as mild and very manageable. You may notice some redness, swelling, or bruising at the injection sites, though this usually resolves within a few days. Many people return to their normal routine right after.
You’ll notice an immediate improvement, though your final results will develop over the following two weeks as the filler settles and any swelling subsides. Depending on the product used and the treatment area, Juvéderm results often last between 6 months and 2 years.
Juvéderm’s results come down to a process called cross-linking, where hyaluronic acid molecules are chemically bonded to form a stable gel. This gel withstands the body’s natural breakdown for much longer than unmodified HA.
By adjusting this cross-linking process, Allergan has developed distinct formulations for different areas of the face: softer and more flexible for the lips, firmer and more structured for areas like the cheeks.
Clinical evidence supports the findings, too. A multicentre randomised controlled study found that, at 2 years post-treatment, 79% of patients rated their cheek volume as improved or much improved, with sustained satisfaction across facial appearance and the midface throughout the study.
Juvéderm is a line of hyaluronic acid-based dermal fillers created by Allergan Aesthetics. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring molecule in the skin that gives moisture and volume.
Juvéderm fillers use a smooth gel formulation that, once injected, adds volume, improves contours, and softens lines and wrinkles for a more youthful, natural appearance.
The longevity of Juvéderm depends on the specific product used and the area treated. Lip filler results usually last between 6 and 12 months. Juvéderm Voluma, commonly used for the cheeks and chin, can last up to 2 years.
Tear trough treatments can last 9 to 12 months. Results vary from person to person depending on factors like metabolism, lifestyle, and the treatment area.
The amount of Juvéderm required depends on the treatment area and your desired effect. Lip enhancement typically requires 0.5 to 1ml. Nasolabial folds and marionette lines typically need 1 to 2ml in total.
Cheek augmentation may require 1 to 2ml per side. Our expert practitioner will provide a tailored recommendation during your free consultation, always prioritising a natural and balanced result.
Yes. Because Juvéderm is made from hyaluronic acid, it can be dissolved using an enzyme called hyaluronidase. This is one of the key safety advantages of hyaluronic acid fillers. If you’re unhappy with the results or if a complication arises, the filler can be safely and effectively reversed by us.
Juvéderm can be used in the tear trough area to address hollowing and dark circles under the eyes. During your appointment, we will determine whether you are a good candidate and which approach is best for your anatomy.
A standard syringe of Juvéderm holds 1ml (1cc) of product. Some products in the range, such as Juvéderm Voluma for cheek augmentation, may also be offered in slightly larger presentations.
During your consultation, our practitioner will explain the specific amount of product recommended.
Juvéderm filler cost depends on the area being treated and the amount of product required. We offer transparent pricing during your free consultation. For current pricing details, please visit our pricing page or contact us directly. We also offer flexible payment options through Klarna and Clearpay.
Juvéderm fillers can be used across a wide range of facial areas, such as the lips, cheeks, chin, jawline, nasolabial folds, marionette lines, and tear troughs.
Different products within the Juvéderm range are formulated with varying consistencies to suit each specific area, ensuring the best results and a natural feel.
The key to avoiding an unnatural look is choosing an experienced, highly trained practitioner who takes a conservative, measured approach (like Jacqui!).
We prioritise proportion and balance, building results gradually rather than overfilling in a single session. Proper product selection and accurate placement technique are required for flawlessly natural lip results.
Juvéderm works by injecting hyaluronic acid gel beneath the skin’s surface with small needles or cannulas.
Once injected, the gel absorbs into your tissue, adding volume, smoothing wrinkles, and improving contours. Hyaluronic acid also draws and holds moisture, resulting in a plump, hydrated appearance over time.
Immediately after treatment, you may notice some redness, swelling, tenderness, or minor bruising at the injection sites. These effects are completely normal and usually resolve within a few days.
We offer detailed aftercare guidance following every treatment. You’ll begin to see your results settle into their final appearance over the course of around two weeks.
It’s recommended to avoid alcohol for at least 24 hours after Juvéderm treatment. Alcohol acts as a blood thinner and can increase the chances and severity of bruising and swelling.
It can also cause dehydration, which may affect the quality of your results. Staying hydrated with water and following your aftercare advice will help your recovery.
Choosing where to have Juvéderm fillers is just as important as the treatment itself.
