Dermal fillers can cause some discomfort, but the level of pain is generally minimal. Most of our clients feel only mild sensations of pressure or pinching during the injection process. Dermal fillers usually take about 1 to 2 weeks to fully settle into the treated areas. While you may notice immediate improvements right after the injection, such as added volume or reduced wrinkles, there can be some initial swelling or bruising that may cloud the final results.

Over the course of a few days, any swelling or redness will begin to reduce, and the fillers will integrate more naturally with the surrounding tissue, giving off a more refined and natural appearance.

Immediately after the treatment, avoid touching or massaging the treated areas to prevent the filler from moving. It’s also advisable to avoid strenuous exercise, excessive sun or heat exposure, and alcohol for at least 24 to 48 hours, as these can increase the risk of swelling or bruising.

Applying a cold compress can help reduce any swelling or discomfort during the first few hours post-treatment. Keeping your head elevated while sleeping for the first night may also help reduce swelling. Avoid sleeping on your side for 24-48 hours as well.

It’s important to stay hydrated and avoid makeup or skincare products on the treated area for at least 24 hours to avoid irritation.
