Rejuran Polynucleotides

Rejuran Polynucleotides are injectable skin boosters made from highly purified salmon DNA. These DNA fragments stimulate the skin’s natural healing process by promoting collagen and elastin production, repairing damaged tissue, and reducing inflammation. They work at a cellular level to restore skin health, improve texture, and enhance overall radiance.

Rejuran can be suitable for a wide range of skin types and tones, including sensitive skin. However, skin type alone does not determine whether treatment is suitable for you. During your consultation, we will consider your medical history, allergies, medicines, current skin condition and the area being treated before recommending Rejuran.

Rejuran is ideal for treating fine lines, dull or uneven skin tone, enlarged pores, acne scars, and general skin ageing. It’s also effective for improving hydration, elasticity, and under-eye concerns such as dark circles or crepey texture.

Rejuran is designed to improve skin quality gradually by supporting the skin’s natural regenerative processes. Dermal fillers primarily add or restore volume, while anti-wrinkle injections temporarily reduce movement in specific muscles. Rejuran does neither of these. Instead, it is used to improve concerns such as skin texture, hydration, elasticity and fine lines.

For best results, we recommend a course of 3 to 4 sessions spaced about 3 to 4 weeks apart. After the initial course, maintenance treatments every 6 to 12 months can help sustain the benefits.

Most of our clients begin to notice visible improvements in skin texture, hydration, and tone within 2 to 4 weeks after their first treatment. Results continue to develop over time as collagen production increases and skin regeneration takes place.

Downtime is minimal. Mild swelling, redness, or small bumps at the injection sites may appear but typically subside within 24 to 72 hours. You can usually return to normal activities shortly after treatment, following a few simple aftercare guidelines.

Discomfort is generally mild. A topical numbing cream is applied before the procedure to ensure comfort throughout. Clients may feel slight pressure or pinching during the injections, but the treatment is well tolerated by most people.

Rejuran can be used alongside other aesthetic and skin treatments, but the most appropriate combination and timing will depend on your skin, treatment area and goals. At Lumineux Aesthetics, we may recommend combining it with treatments such as microneedling or other skin rejuvenation procedures where appropriate. Your treatment plan will be discussed during consultation.

Results vary from person to person, but improvements following a course of Rejuran treatment may last around 6 to 12 months. Factors such as your skin condition, treatment area, number of sessions and individual response can all affect longevity. Maintenance treatment may be recommended to help sustain the results.

Rejuran may not be suitable if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have an active infection or inflammation in the treatment area, or have certain medical conditions or allergies. You should also tell us about any medicines, supplements and known fish or salmon allergies. A full consultation is carried out before treatment to determine whether Rejuran is appropriate for you.

Common temporary effects after Rejuran injections can include redness, swelling, tenderness, bruising and small raised bumps at the injection sites. These usually settle within a few days. As with any injectable treatment, less common complications such as infection or an allergic reaction can occur. You will be given aftercare advice and information on when to contact the clinic if you have concerns.

Yes. Rejuran I is specifically formulated for the delicate under-eye area. It can be used to improve skin quality where concerns include fine lines, crepey texture and loss of elasticity. Whether it is appropriate for your under-eye concerns will be assessed during consultation, as not every cause of dark circles or under-eye ageing responds to the same treatment.
